I'm Philip Moran, founder and principal of PPM Prime Consulting. For more than 25 years I've worked across HRIS, HCM, Time & Attendance, workforce management and the payroll processes that sit alongside them — through requirements, procurement, implementation, data, integrations and the messy operational reality where projects are actually won or lost.
The range of seats I've sat in shapes the advice. I've been a software engineer building these systems, worked in technical and commercial roles on the vendor side, and advised organisations as an independent consultant. So I know what vendors promise, how the technology behaves once it's live, and what it takes to make an implementation work for the people who use it every day.
That breadth lets me do the thing most projects need and rarely have: translate. Between HR, Payroll, IT, Finance, Procurement, operations and the vendor — groups that often talk past each other — turning vague needs into clear, testable requirements and sound decisions.
